FOCUS ON YOUR FOCUS
3 min readHave you ever gotten to that point where you tell yourself, you are losing focus?
Well, not everybody gets to this point, some get there, they don’t recognize it and it leads to depression at the end of the day.
After reading this article today, you’ll be able to identify when you are losing focus and how to get back on track again. One thing you must know is that you are not alone.
Oftentimes, we can be so carried away with many activities that we don’t even know when we need to take a break.
You see this focus thing, if you are not intentional, it can hit you hard when you lose focus. Most especially as it concerns your life, please, do not joke with it.
Now, I’ll share a few things to check to identify when you are losing focus.
- Inability to perform normal daily tasks.
- Mental cloudiness or “brain fog”.
- Difficulty remembering something that happened a short time ago.
- Restlessness
- Difficulty making decisions
- Making careless mistakes
- Lack of energy
- Missing important meetings, deadlines or appointments.
Another aspect to check is “how to know you are losing focus on yourself”… If you don’t focus on yourself, you’ll become depersonalized and eventually depressed. This is very important too!
HINTS
- You are frustrated for no reason
- You are constantly pulled into other people’s drama.
- You are always criticising yourself.
- You overreact.
- You’ve been non-stop busy all day.
- You are exhausted.
My question is when do you want to take a pause and focus on yourself? The best time to do that is now… immediately after reading this article. Please, prioritise you!!!
Few ways to focus on you.
- Stop comparing yourself to others- I mean, your life’s journey is different from theirs.
- Don’t be afraid to let go of toxic people
- Trust yourself to make good decisions for yourself
- Don’t worry about other people’s opinions. Except, of course, they are true and you need to work on them.
Few ways to stay focused in life.
- Take a break- this happens to be my first point because we know the things that get us worked up but sometimes we are too distracted to take a break from them. You know those things, please identify them and take a break. You will be glad you did.
- Exercise more- this is excellent to burn out stress and improve breathing and the entire body system.
- Create a balanced routine – this one allows you to work, rest and have fun which is a prerequisite for a healthy lifestyle.
- Get a good support group or system- a group or system will help you gain back your focus when you lose it. It’s important to have people or someone you can be vulnerable to free with, try this out and you will go through tough challenges easily.
- Avoid social media stress- whatever seems toxic in your life should be expelled. Say no to whatever makes you pressured or feel less of yourself.
I still have so much to share with you but I’ll like us to stop here for now, feel free to drop comments or questions, I’ll love to hear from you and don’t forget to focus on your focus.
